In the 37th match of the T20 World Cup, West Indies defeated Italy by 42 runs.
In the match being played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the Italian team was all out for 123 runs in pursuit of a target of 166 runs.

For the West Indies, Shamar Joseph took 4 wickets, Matthew Ford 3, Godakesh Moti 2 and Aqeel Hussain took one wicket.
Shamar Joseph also took 4 catches, thus becoming the first player to take 4 wickets and take 4 catches in a T20 International match.
Earlier, Italy won the toss and invited the West Indies to bat first.
West Indies scored 165 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Captain Shai Hope was the standout with 75 runs.
For Italy, Ben Manenti and Krishna Kalugamagye took 2 wickets each, while Ali Hassan and Thomas Draca took one wicket each.
